Influence of a deleterious alkali-silica reaction on the frost and freeze-thaw resistance of concrete
In IGF project 21252 N, the impact of a deleterious alkali-silica reaction (ASR) on the frost and freeze-thaw resistance of concrete was investigated. The findings confirm that deleterious ACR should be avoided entirely, as it significantly reduces the frost resistance of concrete. Results from the Stiffness Damage Test demonstrate that this method effectively quantifies damage to concrete structures caused by ACR.
