Main focus of our services

The main areas covered by the analytical services we offer are emission analysis, the determination of environmentally relevant components in absorption solutions from process measurements and in eluates, the determination of environmentally relevant components in raw materials and constituents, as well as the performance of gas liberation studies for VOC, SO2, CO, NH3, Hg. Our interdisciplinary teams of specialised experts have in-depth knowledge and years of experience in the fields of environmental consultation, environmental measurement and environmental analysis. We can compile a tailor-made package from our extensive service portfolio to suit your requirements and covering every aspect of the work involved. Our integrated approach is particularly of benefit in the context of environmental analysis, as the services provided often extend beyond the scope of the actual analytical work. This is the case if the preliminary treatment of (solid) samples or the subsequent evaluation of results is necessary, for instance in the form of expert reports (link to "Environmental expert reports"/ "Environmental consultation"). An important principle in our approach is that measurement/analysis and evaluation are performed independently of one another.

As independent and experienced specialist experts we can provide you with knowledgeable, reliable and comprehensive support throughout all the stages of environmental licensing procedures in the cement and lime industry. We can produce a wide range of environmental expert reports for you and provide assistance with even the most complex environmental compatibility investigations. Our specialists have many years of experience in the field of approval management and base their work on the latest findings from science, research and consultations.

We can offer integrated consultation and support for all environmental aspects associated with the production and processing of cement, lime, concrete and other construction products. Our many years of expertise obtained from research and practical work enable us to provide you with an all-round comprehensive range of services, starting with selecting procedures, assessment and extending right through to the optimisation of your individual process steps and products.

Environmental measurements

We conduct qualified and dependable environmental measurements. As an officially approved independent measuring department we are a notified body in accordance with §§ 29b of the BlmSchG (Federal Pollution Control Act), the 13th and 17th BlmSchV (Ordinances on the implementation of the Federal Immission Control Act) and the TA Luft (Technical Instructions on Air Quality Control). Our environmental measuring department is also accredited in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025. Our emission measurements cover the required scope of exhaust gas parameters to be measured in accordance with the 17th and 13th BImSchV (Ordinances on the implementation of the Federal Immission Control Act) and the TA Luft (Technical Instructions on Air Quality Control). In addition, our specialists are in a position to determine a broad range of special parameters. We provide you with comprehensive consultation and incorporate the officially required environmental measurements into a valid and efficient emission measurement programme.

Life cycle assessment and sustainability assessment

Certification systems such as DGNB, LEED or BREEAM are increasingly being used to assess the sustainability of new buildings. The sustainability concept commonly employed is based on a three-pillar model, made up of economy, ecology and social aspects. Life cycle assessment of building materials provides important input data for such sustainability assessments. We develop life cycle assessments for cement and cement-bound building materials as a basis for environmental product declarations (EPD).

Our broad range of services encompasses all types of testing in the field of thermal and mechanical process technology, as well as technical reviews and benchmarking, digital process support and comprehensive maintenance work. We optimise your processes, enhance the energy efficiency of your installations, perform maintenance work and offer support for your digitisation projects.
