SCI4climate.NRW is the scientific competence center of the initiative IN4climate.NRW, a nationwide unique working platform of industry, science and state government representatives.
SCI4climate.NRW is funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalization and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). SCI4climate.NRW analyses technological, ecological and economical challenges of an institutional and infrastructural transformation of manufacturing companies in energyintensive primary industries in North Rhine-Westphalia towards a sustainable climate-neutral industry by 2050. The scientific approach includes the elaboration of studies and further the development of novel conceptional ideas. In coordination with partners from industry and science pathways and impact scenarios for establishing a climate-friendly industry are being discussed and amended to propose ideas and opportunities for actions for industry companies and NRW.
