Coming from the EU / Schengen Area
You can enter Germany with your national identity card or passport. It is also a good idea to always have an ID with you, as you may need it when checking in at your accommodation.
Other participants may require a visa to gain entry into Germany.

Participants are strongly encouraged to submit their visa applications well in advance of the event. VDZ is unfortunately not able to influence or accelerate visa issuance processes of embassies, consulates or immigration offices.
VDZ is happy to provide a letter of invitation on request to assist with visa applications. For general information on making visa applications, the German diplomatic services in the participant’s country of origin should be consulted.
