Environmental management systems

There are increasing demands on companies with regard to environmental protection, nature conservation and the economical use of scarce resources. Environmental management systems in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001 coordinate and control the environmentally relevant activities of companies by recording requirements and goals as well as the processes that are necessary to fulfil and monitor them. They therefore support companies in reducing their environmental effects and guarantee corporate success on a long-term basis. The avoidance of waste and packaging materials, saving water and energy, as well as reducing the liability risk in processes that are potentially harmful to health or the environment not only generally have a positive impact on the environment they are also positive for the competitiveness of businesses.

The certification body of the Forschungsinstitut der Zementindustrie GmbH certifies in particular companies from the stone-earth industry and the construction materials industry. The services of FIZ-Zert can however also be made use of by other companies irrespective of their location, membership in associations/organizations or other requirements.
