Influences of temperature on interactions between superplasticizers and cements with several main constituents
Interactions between superplasticizers and cements are temperature-dependent. Knowledge on this is essential to avoid undesired reactions in concrete.
The aim of the research project is to determine influences of temperature on interactions between superplasticizer and cement. The main focus of this project is on cements with several main constituents and on superplasticizers based on polycarboxylate ether. The test temperatures vary from 5°C to 30°C. These are the limits to the temperature of fresh concrete without further requirements in Germany and take into account the year-round concrete construction activities.
Using the knowledge gained, the model for cement-superplasticizer-interactions will be extended to the influences of temperature.
