VDZ as an employer

VDZ carries out comprehensive research projects at its research institute in Düsseldorf involving cement production, cement manufacture, cement chemistry and concrete technology, issues technical reports and promotes training programmes. The employees at the independent testing, monitoring, certification and environmental stations gather and analyse samples from cement works and plants across Europe, carry out comprehensive environmental and ambient pollution measurements, as well as certify building products and management systems.

Here, VDZ has an international team of experts, representing a whole host of disciplines, to fall back on. In addition to engineers, natural and material scientists, VDZ also employs laboratory technicians, economists and architects. A good mix of young employees and industry experts, who are supported by years of experience in the cement industry, has contributed to a unique concentration of expertise and innovation at its research institute, as well as the high quality of our services.
