Energy management

In connection with the certification of energy management systems FIZ-Zert has access to auditors and technical experts with many years of professional experience in the minerals industry. This high level of technical competence had meant that by the end of 2010 FIZ-Zert had succeeded in obtaining the appropriate accreditation from the DAkkS (German Accreditation Agency) for certifying energy management systems in accordance with DIN EN 16001. It is planned to extend this accreditation in the first half of 2012 to cover management systems complying with the DIN EN ISO 50001 standard.

In addition to the normative aspects the main emphasis of the audit for FIZ-Zert is always on recording and selective optimization of the energy consumption. The optimization measures that the client can easily derive from this mean that improvements within the procedures as well as significant cost reductions can be achieved rapidly.
