Ziel des IGF-Projekts war die Erfassung der Zuverlässigkeit eines repräsentativen Bauwerksbestandes, geplant und erbaut auf Grundlage der DIN 1045:2001. Hierfür sollte ein repräsentativer Bauwerksbestand ausgewählt werden, der Einwirkungen der Expositionsklassen Karbonatisierung (XC4), Chlorideinwirkung (XD3) und Frosteinwirkung (XF3 und XF4) ausgesetzt ist.

The thesis developed a "Performance-based concept for sufficient ASR resistance of concrete" to more effectively prevent damage to concrete structures due to alkali-silica reaction (ASR). This is based on a new method for testing and evaluating the effective alkali content, especially of clinker-efficient cements with several main constitutens, and on the results of the long-term behaviour of concrete cubes in outdoor exposure site tests.

VDZ's Education and Training Programme 2024/25 ranges from teaching technical basics and technical expertise to further training for managers. We offer individual, tailor-made seminars on the topics of clinker and cement production, maintenance, quality assurance, environmental protection, and concrete technology.
